Injury forces Dževad Poturak off FFC 27 Night of Champions vs Pavel Zhuravlev

Bosnian KO artist Dževad ‘BH Machine’ Poturak injured his fist during one of his latest trainings and was forced to back out of the FFC 27 Night of Champions where he was to fight in a title match against reigning champion Pavel Zhuravlev.

Poturak will be forced out of trainings for at least three weeks.

“Out of tremendous desire to become the FFC champion, I trained very hard and I did not rest properly. Unfortunately, I continually did hard sparring and sustained an injury on my right fist. I will have to skip this match and this spectacular event in Zagreb. Because of this injury, I cannot train for at least three weeks, which is horrible. I tried to make it better with injections of medicines, but it was not improving and I have to cancel this match. I will not be able to punch for three weeks for sure. But I invite all fighting sports fans from Bosnia and Herzegovina to give their support to other champions from this region,“ said Poturak.

In this upcoming title match, Poturak will be replaced by Surinamese/Dutch fighter Clyde Brunswijk. This 195 cm tall and 95 kg heavy athlete has a score of 40 wins, 6 losses and 1 draw.
