FFC 22 Athens: Samo Petje defends his title against Meletis Kakoubavas! (VIDEO)

One of Europe’s leading combat sports promotions Final Fight Championship is to hold its 22nd event on February 19 in Athens, which will also be the first FFC event in 2016. As previously announced, FFC 22 will feature MMA debut of the world’s best kickboxers in the -70 kg division, Robin Van Roosmalen, while the kickboxing part of the event is to be headlined by Pavel Zhuralev and Brian Douwes who are to fight for the lightweight category title. The event is to be held at Faliro Olympic Hall.
Zhuralev vs. Douwes will not be the only title match in the Athens. FFC champion Samo Petje is to defend his belt for the third time against Greece’s best kickboxer Meletis Kakaoubavas. After a tough bout with Tigran Movsisyan in Rijeka, Croatia, the Slovenian fighter is to face even more difficult exam. Kakaoubavas is a seasoned professional and perhaps Petje’s toughest opponent so far in the FFC. However, the excellent kickboxer from Ljubljana managed to deal away with all opponents and he will surely deliver a great performance.
