FFC04 Zadar: Even bigger and better with Perak, Stojnic, Jones and Brestovac

After the premiere in Split under a modernized brand, Final Fight or FFC will travel north along the Dalmatian coast to the city of Zadar. As revealed by the organization's main man Orsat Zovko after the Split event, the next show is scheduled in less than three weeks – on May 10, and this one also will include fighters from the very top of the European and regional fighting scene.

The event will be headlined by the likes of the Dubrovnik beast Maro Perak, former UFC fighter Denis Stojnic, excellent Dutchman Jason Jones and one of Croatia's best kickboxing heavyweights – Mladen Brestovac. The exact fight card is expected to be announced early next week, but Fight Site can already reveal some very interesting matchups that are sure to intrigue all martial arts fans.

In one of the main card fights, Mladen Brestovac should face Dutchman Michael Duut. Croatian audience was able to see Duut at Cro Cop Final Fight 2012 when he defeated young Serbian hope Stefan Jelic rather easily. American Glory champ Dustin Jacoby didn't fare much better against the Dutchman as he was counted down no less than three times already in the first round at the recent Glory 6 in London. After a great victory against Frank Munoz at the K-1 WGP Final in Zagreb, this will be another serious test for Brestovac on the road to the very top of the European kickboxing scene.

Regional fans will be especially interested in an MMA bout between Ivica "The Terror" Truscek and Vaso "The Psychopath" Bakocevic. Even their nicknames are enough to see how "colorful" they are, and those who have followed their careers know that it's absolutely never boring with these two in the ring. Fight Site has learned that the fight has been arranged in the under 70 kg weight class.

One of the preliminary fights will be a clash between two of the best Croatian ground fighters in the welterweight division – Trojan's David Vasic and the great hope of Zagreb, Luka Jelcic. Both participated in the last year's MMA league, and the audience eagerly awaited their mutual fight, but was left disappointed as Jelcic got injured and had to give up from further competition.

With an excellent display in Split ended in a convincing win over Greek Petros Vardakas, Zlatko Bajic has earned some more credence in the organizers' eyes, enough for this young Croatian kickboxing ace to be invited for the next event in Zadar. His opponent will be a legend in the under 81 kg category and one of the most experienced Croatian fighters – Emil Zoraj. Last time we saw Zoraj it was at the K-1 WGP Final in Zagreb when he defeated Edmong Patatzis by stoppage in the second round. This will be a clash between youth and experience, vigor and sturdiness.

FFC04 should feature five fights in the preliminary card and another five in the main card, and Fight Site brings you a sneak peek at the official posters of the event, which include the main stars of the event and the beautiful Visnjik arena.
