Croatian UFC fighter Igor “The Duke“ Pokrajac appeared as one of the guests at the FFC's official press conference with Alessio Sakara.

Former colleagues performed together in the elite promotion. They met at the event in Washington, where they shared the locker room. Their new meeting was extremely cordial and Sakara stressed out at the press conference that Igor Pokrajac is one of the Croatian MMA stars.

“I shared locker room with Igor in Washington where we spoke in Italian. He speaks Italian well, “ said Sakara and the two fighters continued to chat after the conference.

We asked Igor Pokrajac to tell us his opinion on Sakara's deal with the FFC.

"Alessio is a great fighter and I'm a big fan of his. He always provides an attractive fight and goes to the end. He did 15 matches in the UFC and that speaks for itself, “ said the The Duke and added:

“I think it that weight dropping became difficult for him and that was the source of the problem. I remember him in Washington at the day of the weigh-ins spending hours on the spin bike in 'sauna suit' to lose the excess weight. He barely made it to the stage and there was no way for him to recover before the match. I am sure that the light heavyweight category will suit him better and that his most successful part of the career is about to start right now. FFC gained a lot with Alessio Sakara.“
