Orsat Zovko negotiates with Brett Rogers and meets Scott Coker in the USA!

FFC President and Fight Channel owner Orsat Zovko last week traveled to the USA for a couple of very interesting reasons. Zovko first traveled to Los Angeles where he had a couple of very interesting business meetings regarding the Final Fight Championship as well as Fight Channel. As mentioned earlier, Mike Tyson was also interested in cooperation with Zovko as well as buying a share in his company.

This time Zovko met Bellator President Scott Coker. Ever since Coker became the head of this promotion a couple of months ago, he created positive hype around the promotion that stagnated under the leadership of Bjorn Rebney. However, the experienced businessman and fighting sports promoter already made it hard for the UFC with his Strikeforce Grand Prix and now he again decided to challenge the world's biggest MMA promotion. And he is doing great so far. Zovko and Coker discussed the transfer of some FFC fighters to Bellator and vice versa, but having in mind the limited number of events when it comes to both promotions, this option will probably be reserved only for the best. However, the details of the meeting are still not known and they will be revealed in a couple of days. Coker and Zovko are old friends ever since the Pride days and it is no wonder they decided to cooperate again.

Another reason Zovko traveled to the USA is the contract with former Strikeforce fighter Brett Rogers who became famous fighting in Strikeforce where he finished Arlovski and almost KO'ed Fedor Emelianenko. However, the experienced Russian fighter recuperated and won in the end. In the last couple of years, Roger fought for smaller promotions as well as for Bellator, Inokis' GFC and Titan FC. His current professional score is 17 wins and 9 losses. Rogers would definitely be a huge reinforcement of the FFC roster and FFC heavyweight division currently reigned by Dion Starring as well as other excellent fighters such as Perak, Delija and Rodrigues. More details on Rogers' cooperation with the FFC coming soon…
