FFC 33 Co-Main Event Features Former UFC Fighter Nov. 2

Las Vegas, NV, (October 31, 2018) – Former UFC fighter, “Cassius” Clay Collard, will make his Final Fight Championship debut on Friday evening, November 2nd, at “FFC 33.”

Clay Collard (16-7-1) Toquerville, UT will take on Darrick Minner (21-9-0) Nebraska City, NE in the Co-Main Event of “FFC 33” at Fight Dome located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas.

Collard has won three of his last five fights, and more importantly he’s won two straight since taking a two-year absence from Mixed Martial Arts.

“I prepare for every fight the same,” said Collard. “I fight my fight every time and I do not worry about who my opponent is or what they are doing, I fight every fighter like they are all world champions and I respect them for taking these fights.”

Minner, who took the fight on one week’s notice, is (2-3) in his last five fights and both wins have come by choke (rear-naked and guilliotine.) As a matter of fact, it is interesting to note that 86% of Minner’s victories have ended with submissions.

“It doesn’t matter what he (Collard) does because I’ll be the one getting my hand raised on Friday night,” said Minner. “If Collard wants to stand up and strike, that’s great, but he’ll end up on his back either way.”

FFC CEO/Founder, Orsat Zovko, weighs in on the November 2nd matchup.

“Collard has the UFC experience but Minner has over thirty pro fights,” said Zovko. “Both fighters will be looking to prove something at FFC 33 and this should be an action-packed fight.”

Both fighters are excited about the opportunity to battle in “The Fight Capital of The World.”

“I am excited with all the championship lineage that has fought in this city (Las Vegas) before me,” said Collard. “It is an honor to be able to perform for all of my fans at such a great venue (Fight Dome) it means everything to me and I am honored to get the opportunity.”

“I appreciate the opportunity that FFC has given me to fight here in Las Vegas,” said Minner. “A lot of great champions have fought here.”

“FFC 33” takes place at Fight Dome located at Caesars Entertainment’s Rio Las Vegas, Friday evening, November 2nd. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. (PST) and the first fight is scheduled for 6:15 p.m.
