FFC 30 kickboxing: Di Marco injured, Teo Mikelić steps in to fight Leitner

Italy’s Fabio di Marco (46-13, FFC 2-0) was forced to cancel his match at the upcoming FFC 30 Linz this October citing injury. Instead, Thomas Leitner (31-9-2, FFC 1-0, fighting out of Austria) will now face Croatia’s kickboxing prospect Teo Mikelić (8-5, FFC 4-2).

Mikelić returns to the FFC ring after a two-year layoff. He had his last FFC bout at FFC 19 Linz when he was defeated by future contender Tigran Movsisyan. This kickboxer fighting out of Pula, Croatia, started his FFC career with an excellent streak of wins. In his FFC debut in 2013 he defeated FFC’s future two-division champ Samo Petje and then proved to better than Slobodan Kajmakoski and Mirko Vorkapić. The following year at FFC 14 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Mikelić fought Petje again in a lightweight title match when Petje retaliated for the loss in their first encounter and KO’ed Mikelić in the first round winning the belt.

Teo Mikelić also fought in Glory and he won the Kombat League championship in -70.

Final Fight Championship 30 will take place October 21 in Linz, Austria. FFC 30 tickets are available for purchase now: http://bit.do/FFC30_Tickets. Watch FFC live from TipsArena on Fight Channel World HD or www.fightchanneltv.com.
