The crowd at the Gripe venue in the city of Split was able to enjoy a real fighting spectacle brought by the Final Fight Championship martial arts organization on Friday evening.

Outstanding fights and world-class production were unfortunately not enough to bring in a bigger crowd, but those 1,200 who were present were truly treated to a top quality event.

After several very interesting preliminary fights, the main card kicked off with an attractive matchup ultimately won by Zlatko Bajic via decision, followed by an MMA bout between light heavyweights Christian Golcic and Tomislav Spahovic.

Although Golcic was by many considered a clear favorite, not least because of his 20 cm height advantage, a major upset occurred not long after the fight started when Spahovic landed a terrific hook on Golcic's chin and then finished him with two ground strikes. The Swedish-Croatian was heavily knocked out and unable to get out of the ring on his own.

Ante Delija defeated his Greek opponent also in the first round, and Pavel Zhuravlev was equally quick to win the co-main event.

Finally, the two main stars entered the ring – Igor Jurkovic and Raul Catinas. It was a truly fantastic fight throughout each of its nine minutes. As expected, Catinas attempted to get to a knockout win with some dangerous hooks, but Jurkovic was the better fighter due to some clever tactics and deservedly won a great victory by unanimous decision.
