"Croata" Barrii ahead of tough challenge this weekend in Portugal

Next weekend Portuguese Matosinhos is to host 3rd edition of Invictus Pro MMA League event which is quite interesting for the regional audience since Argentine-Croatian MMA fighter Francisco "Croata" Barrio is to fight at the event.

Barrio's opponent will be Jonas Boena do Rosario – Brazilian fighter with rich experience. In his professional career Boeno scored 29 wins and 10 losses, but in his last 13 matches he had only 2 defeats. In 2014 he has as many as eight professional matches, which is quite rare.

On the other hand, this will be Barrio's first match after his loss to Filip Pejic at FFC 15 in Porec, Croatia, last year. In this clash of the region's best -66 kg fighters, Pejic managed to KO „Croata“ with his right uppercut. After his loss, Barrio polished his skills in Dublin where he joined famous SBG team. There he trained with Conor McGregor, Cathal Pendred and Gunnar Nelson. However, his old coach from Croatia, Goran „Hambi“ Babic will be in his corner in Portugal.
