Breaking news: Guelmino injured, FFC to reveal the name of Perak’s new opponent today!

Nandor Guelmino sustained an injury and he will not be able to fight against Maro Perak December 6 at FFC 16. FFC President Orsat Zovko revealed that the name of his replacement will be revealed later today.

Perak vs. Guelmino match will obviously have to wait for some other occasion and the reason is Guelmino's knee injury. The Austrian fighter has problems with his knee for a longer period, but since he managed to heal the injury he believed he would be able to fight in Vienna in a match that was supposed to crown his career.

However, during his recent sparring sessions, Guelmino concluded his knee would not last three rounds with Perak and had to cancel the fight at FFC 16 that he will definitely attend as a VIP spectator. Last Friday it was quite obvious that he will not be able to fight while the final decision was brought this Monday.

“We are sorry Nandor will not be able to fight against Perak because I believe it would be a very interesting match. However, this is all part of this sport and it always happens before the event. We will find Maro a new opponent as soon as possible and publish the name on Tuesday. We believe we will find a good replacement. We wish Nandor a quick recovery a we hope he will soon be able to fight again and do his debut in the FFC ring“, said the FFC President Orsat Zovko.

It is hard to speculate about Gulemino's new opponent in this moment, but it is very likely that Sakara and Browarski might now become the headliners of the event since the Austrian MMA scene does not have a big heavyweight fighter such as The Hun.
