Adam Borics is one of the FFC’s rising stars. This talented Hungarian fighter scored his fifth win last week in Vienna, which was his third FFC victory.
After his successful FFC debut and win over Marko Burusic, Borics also defeated Matija Blazicevic last year in Zagreb, but his biggest triumph occurred in Vienna where he finished Manuel Bilic via triangle choke.
„First of all I would like to express my happiness that I could fight again in the FFC . It’s a great honor to enter to the ring on every occasion. I was relived enough and thanks to this I could fight well against Bilic and I enjoyed every seconds of the fight. I’m glad I could finish the match in the second round. I’m really happy now, I have few days of rest and after I begin the trainings again. I’m looking forward the next challenge,“ said Borics.
From this year on FFC introduced Unified MMA Rules instead of old Pride rules. Borics was happy with this change and thus he revealed more about his preps and game plan.
 „I prepare for all of my matches with full effort and endurance. Our plan was to finish the match abortively. We were very happy because of the rule modifications, the elbow techniques were allowed. We payed more attention for this during the trainings with my coach, Tamás Balla. My training was again supported by Ivan ‘Buki’ Buchinger, who is M-1 Global featherweight champion . We are good friends and it’s really helpful to me we can train together. I have to mention my training partners László Sényei and Viktor Halmi as well. We work hard together and help each other.“
Borics also believe he is ready to attack the FFC title.
„I feel, yeah, I’m ready for the title fight! If FFC offers me, I won’t hesitate, I would really like to win the championship! After the HFC featherweight title it would be a great honor and opportunity at developing my career.“
The Hungarian fighter also commented on his fellow countrymen’s matches at FFC 23 when Halmi lost his belt to Vila and Senyei won the FFC welterweight champ.
 „I have complex feelings. Viktor and László are my friends. We do our weekly sparring trainings together. We had prepared for the FFC 23 in a very hard way. I was happy and greatly proud of Laci when the champion belt was attached on his waist . On the other hand I’m quite sad because of the unsuccessful title defense by Viktor. But I believe and I’m convinced Viktor will return strongly next time,“ concluded Borics.
