Zovko after meeting with Nedkov: ’We continue with dialogue’

Having held a press conference in Sofia, FFC leadership, headed by Mr. Zovko, met with the presidents of Bulgarian kick boxing or MMA Federations, Mr. Dimitar Angel and Mr. Stanislav Nedkov.

The main topic of the meeting were problems that led to the cancellation of FFC in Sofia that was to take place this Friday at Universiada Hall, but the aspects of the future cooperation were also discussed.

In an interview with Fight Site, Mr. Zovko told us the conclusions of the meeting.

“Before we left Sofia, we met with the president of the Bulgarian Kickboxing Federation, Mr. Angelov and with the president of the Bulgarian MMA Federation, Mr. Stanislav Nedkov. I do not want to repeat everything said at the press conference held yesterday, but I will mention a couple of constructive conclusions we agreed upon. We agreed it is in our common interest to continue with this dialogue and cooperation that should lead to an FFC event in Bulgaria. We discussed some technical details and procedures that need to be met. By that I mean the documentation and similar things. We will continue with negotiations in a couple of weeks and solve the unresolved issues as soon as possible. The FFC should take place in Sofia in December with support of both federations,“ said Zovko.

The FFC President was content with the outcome of the meeting and he thus concluded:

“I believe we are going in the right direction and that that was a good decision. The Bulgarian fighters will have the biggest profit from such an event in Bulgaria as well as the Bulgarian fans who will see a real fighting sports spectacle.“
