The first trip of the Croatian martial arts organization FFC abroad offered its viewers a chance to enjoy several hours of a true combat spectacle, and from a bigger perspective FFC 09 perhaps even had the best fights of all the FFC events this year.

The Tivoli arena sadly wasn't packed on this occasion, but everyone who came to see the fights definitely didn’t regret it as the fighters gave some fantastic performances.

The event was opened by Toplak with a decision win over Selimovic, and this was followed by Ivan Stanic's second round TKO via powerful low kicks.

Petje justified his status as an attractive fighter, managing to knockout Croatia's Katic in an excellent battle, while Stevan Zivkovic beat another Slovenian after Fabjan last time around in Zagreb.

Ibrahim El Bouni once again proved himself to be perhaps the biggest revelation of the FFC, the excellent Moroccan did very well. Blows were freely exchanged on both sides before El Bouni landed a fantastic left hook mid-second round and Miran got knocked out.

Former It's Showtime champ and one of the world's best 70 kg fighters a few years ago, Chris Ngimbi, failed to fully justify his status as the favorite and Slovenian Vorkapic got the biggest win of his life, as he said in the post-event media conference.

Josip Artukovic didn't have a good FFC debut, losing in mid-first round, but another Croatian fighter delighted the crowd.

Ivica Truscek can call the Tivoli venue his second home without any reservations, having done so many important fights there, and this time he managed what is probably his most convincing win ever. Only 18 seconds into the fight he landed an incredible left high kick and his Italian opponent just dropped to the ground.

The fight that probably drew the most attention among MMA fans thanks to its incendiary introduction justified the expectations. Vaso Bakocevic did somewhat better in the first round, controlling Krusic on the ground, but the situation gradually became reversed, with Lemmy taking over the initiative and dominating throughout the remaining two rounds, but unable to gather enough strength for a stoppage win.

After creating an upset in Zagreb against Dusan Dzakic, Primoz Vrbinc managed to score another win thanks to a guillotine choke in the dying seconds of the fight, and had it not been this way, he would have surely won via decision.

The main event brought us former UFC man James McSweeney who was quick to put all doubts to rest. As soon as the match started, the fighters went to the ground, and the English fighter had no trouble getting an armbar against his Austrian opponent there.
