Serbian MMA prospect after triumphant FFC debut: ‘I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for too long to miss it!’

One of the biggest Serbian MMA prospects, Duško Todorović, made his FFC debut last weekend in Linz and scored an impressive win.

At FFC 30 Todorović squared off with Germany’s dangerous Alexander Poppeck, but Todorović managed to dominate the match from the second round on and finished his opponent via submission. This is Todorović’s fifth consecutive win via submission and a proof that this young man has a bright future ahead of him.

‘The feeling is incredible,’ revealed Todorović. ‘I had a one and a half year break and to be able to perform on such a big stage against an opponent as strong as Alexander Poppeck was a real challenge for me. I’ve been waiting for an opportunity to fight under the banner of some big international promotion for a long  time and when they offered me a chance to fight in the FFC ring, I was so happy!’ said Todorović.

Todorović is happy he won, but he claims he can do even better than that.

‘I’m not entirely happy with the way I did this match, I think I could have done better, but I’m glad I managed to win and deliver an attractive performance for the audience. I think I was affected by such a long break without any bouts and that’s why I partly blocked in the first round. In the second round I woke up and did much better. Poppeck is a great fighter and this was the toughest match in my career!”

After having his impressions settled, Todorović described what was it like to fight in the FFC ring.

FFC is the fastest growing MMA / Kickboxing organization in the world and certainly the best organization in Europe! Everything, from production to fighters, is at a very high level and I am very happy to be part of their event. I would like to continue my further career at the FFC because I think I can be even better than what I’ve shown.‘

“I’m currently planning a vacation after long preparations for this match. I did not sustain any injuries and that’s the most important thing. After a shorter break, my coaches at the MMA club “Secutor” and I will make a detailed analysis of this match and start working on my shortcomings. I plan to be even better prepared for the next FFC match. I’ve waited too long for such a big chance and I do not intend to play with it! “

Given the level of performance Todorović provide in Linz, there is no doubt that we will see him again very quickly in the FFC ring.
