Igor Mihaljevic, the long-term sparring associate of Mirko Filipovic, was in an unenviable position not so long ago in his career considering his less than stellar results, but lately he's been back to winning ways.

Only two weeks ago at FFC in Zadar he triumphed by decision in the fight against Ante Verunica, and another very good display, this time in Osijek, earned him a win over Uros Velicevic, a very talented Slovenian.

"The fight was pretty tough, just by the fact that Uros is tall, works great from distance, he's quick and it took me a lot of time to force my fighting style. In my opinion, he's currently maybe No. 1 Slovenian heavyweight and if he continues to live as a true athlete and fight, he has a good career ahead of him," Mihaljevic praised his opponent.

"I'm very pleasantly surprised by the Osijek crowd, they were great and I'd like to thank them for that. Also thanks to Mr Zovko for the fights, this organization is growing fast, it's very professional and at the highest level in all segments. I believe that Glory events will get a serious competitor if they go on this way," Igor added in an interview with Fight Site.
