Las Vegas, NV, (October 17, 2018) – It is pretty safe to say that one of the MMA fights taking place at FFC 32 at Fight Dome Las Vegas will be a “Grapplers Paradise.”
Adam Smith (11-9-0), Spokane, WA is set to battle Brandon Ricetti (8-2-0), Chico, CA in a lightweight MMA contest.
Both fighters are experienced grapplers with similar fighting styles. Given their extensive wrestling and Brazilian jiu-jitsu backgrounds, Smith and Ricetti would prefer that this fight goes to the ground however, they are no strangers to standing toe-to-toe and trading punches.
If you review the outcomes of their fights you can clearly see the pattern that Smith and Ricetti like to follow… Bring the fight to the ground and make sure it ends with a tap out.
Smith has successfully submitted seven of his opponents, Ricetti has submitted eight (which amounts to all of his victories.)
Ricetti is particularly fond of the rear naked choke. Six of his eight wins have ended by rear naked choke, the other two by guillotine choke and armbar.
Smith, on the other hand, has added more variety to his victories with a TKO and five armbars.
It will be very interesting to see what will happen if this fight goes to the ground, and many believe it most certainly will.
Two evenly-matched grapplers are looking to showcase their superior ground games at FFC 32, which takes place Friday night, Oct. 19th at Fight Dome at Rio Las Vegas.
The event, FFC 32, will air on CBS Sports Network. Check your local listings for more information.
