Hesdy Gerges impressed K-1 fans all over the world with his excellent performance in Porec at FFC 6 last Friday. Clearly the Egyptian marked that fight as a turning point in his already very successful career.

Gerges won via decision against dangerous Pavel Zhuravlev, who was far more active in terms of boxing techniques, while Hesdy relied on kicking techniques a lot more, which left a better impression on the judges.

The outstanding Egyptian fighter perhaps wasn't at his fittest at the K-1 World Grand Prix in Arena Zagreb, but he was definitely at his best in Porec.
