FFC 37: Controversy Hits Weigh Ins!

The fighters hit the scale at the Fight Dome Studio ahead of FFC 37, with seven fighters hitting their marks twenty four hours away from fight night.

Alonzo Martinez (163.2lbs) failed to make the limit of 160lbs scheduled for his catchweight bout with Mike Santiago (158.2lbs), who came in shy of the limit ahead of the main event. Martinez forfeits 30% of his purse to Santiago, with the fight going ahead!

Scheduled for the co-main event slot, Anderson Goncalves (184.6lbs) came in slightly lighter than Steve Montgomery (185lbs) as they make their not-to-be-missed middleweight bout official.

Roger Carroll (203lbs) donned Irish colours as he faced off with Croatia’s Ivan Erslan (203.8lbs) ahead of their light heavyweight contest. Carroll looks to add to his seventeen submission victories, whilst Erslan looks to return to winning ways under the FFC banner.

In the opening bout of the evening, Alaskan Kris Berberich (154lbs) hit his mark against local lightweight Jake Albinio (155.4lbs). Berberich makes his FFC debut, whilst Albinio looks to return to action with a big win on Thursday evening.

FFC 37 goes down on May 30th at the Fight Dome. Limited tickets are available at the Rio Box Office and online here.
