FFC 30 kickboxing and boxing full fight card: Return of ‘The Albanian Warrior’ and Hrvoje Sep’s third pro boxing match

This October Final Fight Championship returns to Linz, Austria, with its 30th edition that will be made up of one boxing, six MMA and six kickboxing matches with Shkodran Veseli (65-15, FFC 4-1) in the main bout of the kickboxing part of the event.

The event will mark Veseli’s return to the FFC ring. After four impressive wins under the FFC banner, Veseli fought for the FFC belt in September 2016 at TipsArena with one of Holland’s best fighters, Eyevan Danenberg. Veseli came short of the belt, but he proved that he is a force to be reckoned with. At FFC 30 he will fight a dangerous opponent Dimitrios Chiotis (44-4, FFC 1-0) from Greece. Moreover, the winner of this bout will get the crack at the welterweight belt.

Shkodran Veseli vs Eyevan Danenberg

Veseli’s FFC opponent Chiotis made his FFC debut in February 2015 at FFC 22 Athens when he KO’ed Croatia’s Jasmin Bajrović. The two opened the show with real fireworks, both showcasing their uncompromised styles. However, Chiotis proved to be the better man that night, he showed he is willing to provide an exciting performance and thus he launched himself into the FFC welterweight title picture.

FFC’s first and only two-division champ Samo Petje back with a superfight

FFC’s first two division champ Samo Petje (32-6-1, FFC 10-2) will step into the FFC ring again this Saturday at FFC 30 Linz co-main event. Petje will fight in the same arena where he made his come back after devastating KO loss to Meletis Kakoubavas. And he never lost again. In the meantime, he retaliated in a rematch in Athens this year and after that he challenged then FFC welterweight champion Eyevan Danenberg, managed to defeat him and became the owner of two belts.

Although Petje decided to drop the welterweight belt, at FFC 30 he will fight Romania’s Eduard Chelariu (8-3, FFC 0-0) in catchweieght set at -72. Despite the fact that this will be Chelariu’s FFC debut, this young KO artit dubbed ‘Little Tyson’ already has 11 professional bouts under his belt as well as 8 wins. Not to mention that he polished his skills in SuperKombat.

Teo Mikelić returns after a two-year hiatus

One of the latest additions to the kickboxing card is Croatia’s Teo Mikelić who stepped in when Fabio di Marco cancelled his appearance citing injury. Teo Mikelić (18-5-0, FFC 4-2) has not fought in the FFC ring for two years now. Teo Mikelić will return to the arena where he fought his last FFC match and suffered a loss to future contender Tigran Movsisyan as well as a foot injury that set him back for some time. Mikelić’s FFC score is 4-2 including a loss to Samo Petje at FFC 14 when they fought for the inaugural lightweight title. But before Mikelić gets a new chance to fight for the title, he will have to earn that shot. At FFC 30 his opponent will be Thomas Leitner (31-9-2, FFC 1-0) known for his exciting style. Leitner is new to the FFC but he already scored one TKO win in the FFC ring.

Budimir Bajbić (6-1, FFC 0-0) is another new name in the FFC roster. This dangerous Bosnian kickboxer is the owner of WMAC European championship belt as well as WAKF belts in -96 and -91 kg. At FFC 30 Linz in his promotional debut he will square off with Austria’s Rene Wimmer (15-11, FFC 1-2) who is already familiar with the FFC ring and who will fight on his own turf. At the same venue in 2016, Wimmer scored the biggest win of his career. In an epic battle he made a big comeback and KO’ed favored Cheick Sidibe from France. That spectacular win secured him the middleweight contender position and in December 2016 at FFC Night of Champions, he fought in a title match against Bosnia’s best kickboxer Denis Marjanović.

Greece’s best kickboxer Meletis Kakoubavas (32-7, FFC 1-1) is also to fight at the FFC 30 card. The video of him knocking out Samo Petje at FFC 22 quickly became viral, but despite the fact that he lost in the rematch, Kakoubavas proved he is ready to face the best in the sport. This time he will face Giorgi Bazanov (30-8-0, FFC 0-1). Bazanov made his FFC debut at FFC 27 Night of Champions in December 2016 when he stepped in on short notice to face Croatia’s Ivan Bilić. Despite the fact that he came short of the win, Bazanov got another FFC shot due to the fact that he was willing to fight heavier and much taller opponent, not mention his fierce, exciting and uncompromised style.

As usual, Final Fight Championship will also give a chance to young local prospects to shine and prove themselves on one of the biggest stages. Therefore, the kickboxing part of the evening will kick off with Markus Ehrenhofer (18-4, FFC 0-0) who will lock horns with Benjamin Masudi (21-8-1, FFC 0-0) in welterweight bout.

Croatian Olympic boxer returns to the FFC ring

Together with six MMA and six kickboxing bouts, FFC 30 that is to take place this October in Linz is set to feature an exciting boxing match as well!

At FFC 30 Croatia Olympic boxer Hrvoje Sep (2-0, FFC 1-0) will step inside the FFC ring again in his third professional bout. Sep made his professional boxing debut at FFC 29 in Ljubljana this year and defeated Serbia’s Milan Petrović via 1st round knockout. He continued successfully in his second professional match as well when he defeated France’s Mamadou Ba via unanimous decision in June this year.

This will be third time that the promotion included a boxing bout in its standard kickboxing and MMA program.

This time Sep will lock horns with Georgia’s undefeated Levan Lukhutashvili (4-0, FFC 0-0) in a match set at six 3-minute rounds. Lukhutashvili will definitely be a difficult task for Sep since none of his previous matches went to distance.
