Croatian MMA team “House of Pain” led by Goran Babic- Hambi was joined by two new tough members from Hungary – Viktor Halmi and Laszlo Senyei. They both fought at FFC events in the region and remained undefeated in welter category.

How did it come to this cooperation since Budapest is 400 km away from Zagreb? The Hungarian fighters spent a week in Zagreb this August where they trained under the supervision of Goran Babic. They insisted on coming to Croatia themselves and were amazed with great conditions that local fighters have in Zagreb. They were also very satisfied with their training sessions. And this is how it came to this interesting cooperation.

“This is a big deal for my team and my fighters since Halmi and Senyei are great sparring fighters and my fighters can learn a lot from them. You had a chance to see Halmi in Ljubljana where he destroyed Primoz Vrbinc in one of the best FFC matches ever, while Senyei also put up a great show a couple of times at FFC. He practically cleaned up welter division and he is one of the greatest talents in the region. Viktor is not only a fighter, he is a great BJJ coach and competitor”, Babic revealed to Fight Site.

“They won’t be in Zagreb whole time. They will just do their camps here. I believe there is a lot of room for progress and I think they have more potential yet to be revealed.”

Hambi’s team made up of fighters such as Francisco Barrio, Tadija Majic, Aleksandar Rakas and Sadikovic brothers is now stronger for two Hungarian fighters. This fall will be quite interesting when it comes to the regional MMA scene.
