Igor Emkic is the creator of the most brutal knockout in the entire series of FFC events this year.

At the Osijek event, he managed to punch his opponent Ivan Stanic with a left half-hook right on the chin and the Opatija-based fighter needed a few minutes to come around.

"The fight started very well for me, I think my opponent underestimated me too much, so I managed to land several heavy blows and knock him down already in the first round. I though it was over, but Ivan is a fighter with a big heart and he managed to get up and continue the fight. I made a mistake going for a KO at the end of round one, and that wore me out a lot. In the second round I tried to slow down and look for a chance from counters, which my opponent used to take some initiative and go forward."

"I really came close with several heavy strikes, but they ended up on the opponent's guard or shoulders. The third round started at a slower pace. I continued to look for an opportunity from counters and half-counters and managed to land a good left hook  from a sidestep, which landed right on the opponent's chin and that was the end of the fight," Emkic described his bout for Fight Site.
