Croata Barrio: I will be an FFC champion!

At the last FFC that took place in Zadar, Francisco „Croata“ Barrio scored a victory against Patrick Peresa and remained undefeated with the score of 5-0.

Croata left a very good impression and his performances did not go unnoticed. His story was published by a Slovenian portal fight-madness.com in which he revealed more about his preparations for the match.
"Peresa is a great athlete and a great person. He is much more experienced than me and I prepared by following the instructions that my coach Goran Babic gave me. Goran Sajko was my strength and conditioning trained. I was very well prepared. “

Barrio revealed how he came to Croatia and why he decided to stay.

"I lived in Zagreb since 1994 until 2005 when I returned to Argentina. My mom came back to Croatia in 2012. I came with her and last year I started to fight for the FFC. I stayed here because I have high quality trainings and a lot of friends.“

When asked about his idols, he answered:

„My idols are Johny Hendricks, Fedor Emelianenko and Mirko Filipovic. But my favorite is Hendricks. I admire him tremendously and I would like to have a training with him.“

Croata did not hide that he is expecting an FFC title match this fall.

„I see myself as a champion in the category of up to 66kg. So far I fought in the category of up to 70 kg, but that is not my natural category. I feel the best in the category of up to 66 kg and I know I am one of the best fighters in that category in the whole region.“
