After defeat at FFC F2 Milakovic says he would reapply in September

Last weekend Bosnian media was full of stories on FFC Futures 2 where a couple of Bosnian fighters fought as well. The most attention was given to Nemanja Milakovic from The Republika Srpska who competed in the category of up to 77 kg.

In an interview with PressRS , well-known MMA fighter and Nemanja's coach, Dragan Pesic, gave his opinion on the tournament.

Milakovic lost the match to Admir Sadikovic by judges’ decision. However, the supervisor of the match changed the decision in question.

“The first to react were Ivica Vranko's coaches who demanded the change of decision despite the fact that Sadikovic would fit their fighter better. In that way they proved how professional they are. The supervisor of the event, Marko Petrak, changed the decision brought by the judges thus making Nemanja the victor“, stated MMA Wonders coach Dragan Pesic.

However, Milakovic lost to Vranko in the semi-finals.

“I have been preparing myself for the match for two months. I was self-confident and sure I would win and secure myself Futures finals. Quarter-finals were routine job, but in semi-finals my opponent was Vranko and he has been Croatian champion in wrestling for last ten years. He is an extremely good fighter and he had excellent working conditions. This was one of the most difficult fights in my career, but I believe I was better. The judges, though, though differently“, Milakovic complained and concluded:

“I am sorry I did not manage to get the FFC contract, but I am very satisfied with my performance. I am sure FFC will give me another chance. I will be smarter and better then.”

The next FFC Futures event is to take place in September and Milakovic said he is planning to apply and win another chance.
