Tigran Movsisyan: ‘I will beat everyone on my way to the title!’

After being defeated in the title match at Final Fight Championship in Rijeka, Tigran Movsisyan returns to theFFC ring. He will fight in Vienna March 18 against dangerous Georgian KO artist Beko Doinjashvili.

Tigran Movsisyan and Samo Petje provided a great match at FFC 21 in Rijeka. It was the biggest test for the Slovenian fighter up to that point and ‘The Armenian Tiger’ proved he deserved that title shot. Although he resisted the champ’s attacks pretty well, Petje won via decision and kept the belt.

„I think the fight was very tight. We both had good moments but he was hunting points and didn’t want to fight with me. But he was the champ so I had to do much more. And I could but I had lot of reserve. Anyway I’m accepting the decision,“ Tigran Movsisyan recalled his match in Rijeka at FFC 19.

„As I saw after, in the first round Samo was technically superior and he made the pressure. And in the second round he made a mistake so I managed to shake him up. That is the fighting game and in one second everything can change. I didn’t check his fight with the Greek guy, Meletis Kakoubavas, that he lost his belt to.“

Tigran did his last match in Rijeka, Croatia, and did not fight since because he dedicated himself to his studies and new preps. This time his opponent will be Beko Doinjashvili from Georgia.

„For this match I’m preparing as usual, nothing special, I’ve seen only few seconds of a fight from my opponent and I’m sure he will try to make distance and move in the ring with some karate kicks, same like Teo Mikelić. The only different thing will be that I will finish him sooner ,“ said Movsisyan full of confidence and simply added: „ I’m just better. As always I will do everything to show a good fight and finish it with KO. Vienna is close to my home town Brno so I guess lot of my fans will come.“

Having in mind what he previously showed in his title match with Petje, Movsisyan hopes for another shot.

„That time I made a mistake and missed my chance. I will not do it again. I will beat everybody till I get the tittle. First of all, I have to win in the upcoming fight at FFC, after that I have another fight offer, so I have to win again and again, nothing else matters,“ said Movsisyan adding that he loves to fight at FFC events.

„From my point of view, FFC is one of the best fighting organizations in Europe, to say the least,“ said Movsisyan who started exploring combat sports at the age of 14.

„I started to train kickboxing when I was 14 years old and few months later I had my first fight. It is hard to say why I started. I’ve seen the K1 max event on TV and I fell in love!“ concluded the Check fighter who is to fight next week at FFC 23 in Vienna.
