Fighting spectacle and the 15th edition of the FFC, which is to be held in Porec, Croatia, November 21, includes the first FFC light heavyweight title match in the kickboxing part of the event between Igor Jurkovic and Dennis Stolzenbach.

Once the FFC crowned its first lightweight category KB champion, the FFC President will now hand over the belt to the best light heavyweight fighter in the FFC ring. Local hero Igor Jurkovic will try to put a crown to a series of successful matches in front of his hometown audience in a match against Dennis Stolzenbach from the Netherlands.

Jurkovic had to cancel the previously scheduled match against Fred Sikking due to an injury he sustained during sparring and the whole event was postponed to the end of November. It was enough for “The Istrian Warrior” to recover and get in shape to reenter the ring but this time with a different opponent.

“Preps are going fine. Everything is perfectly fine in this moment. I broke my fist during training in the beginning of September, but it's all OK now and I feel no consequences. The injury did not mess me nor physically not mentally. I believe I will be my old self when the match starts”, said Jurkovic in the beginning.

Igor was given a new opponent instead of Fred Sikking and now he is to fight Dennis Stolzenbach, an experienced and dangerous fighter.

“Unlike Sikking, Stolzenbach uses more boxing techniques. I think this will be my advantage and I think I will use my kicks to score a new victory and win the belt. I'm getting ready and I will do my best to win in front of my hometown audience and get that belt.”

The belt would be a reward for his work and proof Igor and his team did a good job. Igor is still undefeated in the FFC after four matches in which he beat Raul Catinas, Dzevad Poturak, Jovan Kaluderovic and Luis Tavares. His winning streak might continue in Porec.

“I sure hope it will. So far I've been successful and I would really like to win the FFC belt. So far, the toughest opponent in the FFC I had was Raul Catinas, but I beat him in my first FFC match.“

It was in Split in April 2013. Now Igor is to perform in his hometown in front of his friends and fans.

“Of course it is advantage to fight in front of your hometown audience. When you hear cheering you get this extra motivation and energy. This is why I really have to do my best in my hometown. Believe me, the match will no way be boring.”

This year Igor fought at two Glory events. In Zagreb, Croatia, he quickly defeated Michael Dutt while he was defeated in Denver by Artem Vakhitov via unanimous decision.

“In the Zagreb Arena I did exactly how I trained and how I was prepared do to. In the end it turned out to be the winning combination. When it comes to my defeat, I can only congratulate Vakhitov. It simply wasn't my day and I hope I will not make the mistakes I made in that match. But this is what this sport is about, things like that happen…“

Igor is waiting for the new invitation from Glory. He was recently asked to fight at their recent event held in Oklahoma, but he was not able to fight there due to the fist fracture. However, Igor watched the four-man tournament in which Saulo Cavalari defeated Ilung and Mwkassa and thus became Gokhan Saki's next opponent in the title match.

“I think Saki will defend the title but he will face a difficult task. In Glory I simply see myself among the Top 10, where I am at the moment. I hope I will get a chance to fight for the Glory belt as well.”

But before that Igor has to fight in Porec, Croatia, against Dennis Stolzenbach and win the FFC title.
