Golcic after a heavy knockout: I’m alright, but I’m very disappointed! (VIDEO)

According to many, Christian Golcic was the favorite in the fight against Tomislav Spahovic from Bosnia and Herzegovina at FFC 3 held on Friday in Split, and this was also evident from the fans' predictions in our giveaway guessing game, where most participants saw him as the winner.

However, it was Spahovic who triumphed on the evening, knocking his opponent out with a brutal hook and another couple of unnecessarily heavy ground blows before the referee had a chance to react.

Even before the main event between Jurkovic and Catinas, Golcic was driven away to hospital for an examination, and the good news is that there are no serious injuries or fractures that were feared from beforehand.

"Physically I feel alright, but I'm extremely disappointed with my performance. I lost focus and simply left myself open to his hook. It was my big mistake that he managed to take advantage of. At this moment, I'm not sure what to do next, I need to think this through and talk to my coaches," Christian said for Fight Site.

The Swedish-Croatian fighter was still in the locker room when he apologized to the head of the FFC organization Orsat Zovko for his poor performance, and the agreement followed that they will stay in touch, leaving open a possibility for Golcic to get another chance in one of the following events.
